MINNEAPOLIS – The Augsburg University volleyball team hosted 18
th-ranked Gustavus Adolphus College on Friday evening, falling in three sets in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Play at Si Melby Hall.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Auggies kept the first set close in the early going, trailing by just two at 12-10. The Gusties began to pull away from that point, going on to win the set 25-17.
• The story of set two was very similar with the Auggies trailing by one point at 11-10 before a seven-point run by the Gusties gave them a commanding 18-10 advantage. Augsburg cut the deficit to six on two occasions, but it proved to be all they could do as Gustavus took the set 25-15.
• The Gusties dominated set three, cruising to a 25-9 win to complete the sweep.

Bri Van Well (SR, Woodbury, Minn./Woodbury HS) finished with 14 of the team's 26 kills, hitting .176 in the match.

Torrie Rehder (JR, Goodhue, Minn./Goodhue HS) led the defensive effort with 11 digs, also adding two set assists and a kill.
Angel Vo (JR, Blaine, Minn./Mounds View HS) tallied a team-high 15 set assists while
Jovial King (FY, Caledonia, Minn./Caledonia HS) finished with eight.

• Lauren Klaith led an extremely efficient attacking night for the Gusties, logging 14 kills while hitting .609.
