QUOTES FROM AUGSBURG HEAD COACH GREG HOLKER
• "We did not represent ourselves and our program well in the first half. We were slow, boring, and uninspiring - especially in our scoring chances. We deserved to be down 1-0 at half."
• "In the second half, we ended our scoring drought through hard work. It's amazing how much easier things are if you put forth your greatest effort. Our work created turnovers in bad spots for them and then we were composed enough to finish our chances. Mitch needed this game more than anyone, and I am so proud of him for fighting through the pressure I put on him to show us all what he's capable of."
• "I thought Jorge Radilla was the spark for the team - he won challenge after challenge and calmly played his teammates into good spots immediately after he won the ball. He was a leader today. Really important to our group and long-term success."
• "When we let them back in at 2-2, everyone was wondering what would be next. Is this gonna be a replay of last year's season? We seemed to feel bad for ourselves - for about 30 seconds...and then we stepped back on it. Miz finally drew a penalty and Jakob's finish was never in doubt. After that, we could have and probably should have scored three more, but we settled for Mitch's third and then killed off the rest of the game."
• "Good for us. For now. We haven't defeated Bethel in the last four years, and we know how improved they are and how inspired they always are when they play us for whatever reason. With their backs against the playoff wall, it is going to be a heck of a tough game."
