HOW IT HAPPENED
• Playing 4-on-4 after a St. Catherine penalty ended midway through overtime, Olson claimed a steal in her offensive zone, walked in and fired a shot from the left faceoff dot for her fourth goal of the season and second game-winning tally.
• Augsburg jumped out to a 3-1 lead early in the third period, before St. Catherine tied the game with two goals in a 1:36 span, forcing overtime.
•
Nora Stepan (SO, Apple Valley, Minn./Eastview HS) scored on an end-to-end, unassisted rush at the 13:50 mark of the first period, eluding defenders in the attacking zone for the goal. Just 15 seconds later, the Auggies scored again, as
Emily Schoeberl (SO, Eagan, Minn./Eagan HS) scored her second goal of the weekend, snapping a shot in the slot to the top shelf following a nifty feed from
Claire Jenkins Coffman (SR, Mount Pleasant, Wis./The Prairie School) on a break up the ice.
•
Malia Schubert (SR, Mantorville, Minn./Kasson-Mantorville HS) gave the Auggies a 3-1 lead 43 seconds into the third period, gaining the puck off a steal by
Tenley Stewart (SO, Esko, Minn./Esko HS) and firing a rising blast from the point.
• Augsburg outshot St. Catherine by a 9-1 margin in the first period, en route to a 29-18 shots on-goal advantage in the game.
Chloe Stockinger (SR, Sauk Rapids, Minn./Sauk Rapids-Rice HS) had 15 saves in goal for the Auggies.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
