ADRIAN, Mich. – A three-goal outburst over a five-minute stretch spanning the second and third periods gave the No. 3-ranked Adrian College men's hockey team a 3-0 victory over visiting Augsburg University in the second game of a nonconference series on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Bulldogs broke a scoreless tie with a goal with 1:47 minutes left in the second period, then scored twice in the opening 3:14 of the third period to take the lead for good.
• Adrian outshot Augsburg by a 37-18 margin in the game and held a 34-24 advantage in faceoff victories.

Samuel Vyletelka (JR, Zilina, Slovakia/Grammar School of St. Francis of Assisi) had 34 saves, his seventh game this season with 30 or more saves.

• Ian Amsbaugh, Bradley Somers and Jacob Suede scored for Adrian, last season's NCAA Division III national runner-up and current No. 3-ranked team in the USCHO.com Division III national rankings.
• Dershahn Stewart stopped all 18 shots he faced in goal for the shutout win.
