MINNEAPOLIS --
Jenna Gerold (SR, Farmington, Minn./Farmington HS) scored 54 seconds into overtime on Friday night, giving the Augsburg University women's hockey team a 3-2 Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference victory over Hamline University at Ed Saugestad Rink.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The game-winning goal was set up by a rush up the right wing and around the net by
Kennedy Stein (JR, Lake Forest, Ill./Lake Forest HS). She then flipped a backhand pass to Gerold, who rushed up the middle, eluded two defenders and slid the puck in the net for her fourth goal of the season and second game-winning tally.
Katie Flynn (SR, Woodbury, Minn./East Ridge HS) had the second assist on the goal.
• Hamline scored a power-play goal in the first period to take the early lead, but Augsburg scored twice in the opening half of the second period to take the lead. Nine seconds into the frame, Stein tied the game at 1-1 with her seventh goal of the season, putting home a shot in the slot off a steal on the opening draw by
Emily Cronkhite (SO, Eagan, Minn./Eagan HS).
• Augsburg took a 2-1 lead with a power-play goal by
Elizabeth Fagerlind (SO, Kasson, Minn./Kasson-Mantorville HS), scoring from
Nora Stepan (FY, Apple Valley, Minn./Eastview HS) and
Tenley Stewart (FY, Esko, Minn./Esko HS).

Chloe Stockinger (JR, Sauk Rapids, Minn./Sauk Rapids-Rice HS) recorded 15 saves in goal to pick up the victory, improving to 9-6-2 on the season.
• Augsburg outshot Hamline by a 42-17 margin, the Auggies' ninth game this season, and fourth in a row, with 40-plus shots on-goal.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE
• With the victory, Augsburg clinched a spot in the five-team MIAC postseason playoffs, its seventh straight playoff berth and 11th in program history.

• Morgan Wohlers and Elizabeth Valley scored goals for Hamline, with Emme Nelson recording two assists.
