Jenna Gerold (SR, Farmington, Minn./Farmington HS) scored a shorthanded goal in the second period, and
Payton Allen (SR, St. Michael, Minn./St. Michael-Albertville HS) scored a power-play goal in the third period, as the Augsburg University women's hockey team claimed a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference series sweep over Hamline University with a 3-2 win on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• In a game that featured 18 penalties, the Auggies claimed the win with two special-teams goals. Gerold gave the Auggies a 2-1 lead with a shorthanded goal at the 7:07 mark of the second period, and after Hamline tied the game early in the third period, the Auggies went ahead again on a 4-on-3 power play, as Allen scored her third goal of the season with 5:42 left in regulation.

Emily Schoeberl (FY, Eagan, Minn./Eagan HS) opened the scoring with her sixth goal of the season, scoring at the 12:32 mark of the first period.
