DULUTH, Minn. --
Julianna Teske (JR, Reedsburg, Wis./Warroad (Minn.) HS) claimed her first collegiate hat trick, scoring three goals as the Augsburg University women's hockey team clinched a second-place finish in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference standings with a 6-2 victory at the College of St. Scholastica on Friday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• St. Scholastica scored the first two goals of the game in a 1:05 span early in the contest. But Augsburg scored six unanswered goals to power past the host Saints. Augsburg outshot St. Scholastica by a 32-12 margin over the final two periods, en route to a 36-17 shots on-goal advantage.
• Teske, who had scored just one goal in her first 59 career games, tied the game for the Auggies with a goal at the 14:24 mark of the second period, then added the final two goals of the game -- a goal at the 11:43 mark of the third period and an empty-net goal with 3:30 left -- for her first collegiate hat trick.

Nora Stepan (FY, Apple Valley, Minn./Eastview HS) scored in the second period, and
Emily Schoeberl (FY, Eagan, Minn./Eagan HS) and
Emily Cronkhite (SO, Eagan, Minn./Eagan HS) scored goals in the third period for Augsburg.

Malia Schubert (JR, Mantorville, Minn./Kasson-Mantorville HS) collected three assists, with Schoeberl,
Tenley Stewart (FY, Esko, Minn./Esko HS),
Kiley Wahlin (SO, Blaine, Minn./Totino-Grace HS),
Payton Allen (SR, St. Michael, Minn./St. Michael-Albertville HS) and
Carleigh Drill (SR, Madison, Wis./Madison East HS) also recording assists.

Chloe Stockinger (JR, Sauk Rapids, Minn./Sauk Rapids-Rice HS) had 15 saves in goal for Augsburg.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE
• With the victory, Augsburg clinched a second-place finish in the MIAC standings, earning a quarterfinal bye in the five-team MIAC postseason playoffs. Augsburg will host a semifinal game next Saturday (2/25) at Ed Saugestad Rink.
FOR THE FOES
• Kayla Kasel and Mariah Haedrich scored goals in the first period for St. Scholastica.
• Ashlea Arvidson had 30 saves in goal for the Saints.
