Three Auggies named CSC Academic All-District

2022-23 CSC Academic All-District Women's Basketball Team

MINNEAPOLIS -- Augsburg University women's basketball players Jaley Coplin (SR, Shakopee, Minn./Shakopee HS), Grace Eastman (SR, Elk River, Minn./St. Francis HS),and Katie Manecke (JR, Shoreview, Minn./Mounds View HS) were each named to the Academic All-District Women's Basketball Team, as selected by College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA), it was announced this week. 

The 2022-23 Academic All-District Women's Basketball Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA — for each gender.
 
Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced in mid March. 

Jaley CoplinAn international business major with a 3.86 GPA, Coplin appeared in 77 games and made 53 starts in her four-year career at Augsburg. She scored a total of 739 points, also contributing 265 rebounds, 78 steals, and 66 assists. Coplin was an All-MIAC Honorable Mention last season and was named MIAC Offensive Player of the Week earlier this year. She was also named to Academic All-MIAC Team in the last two seasons. 

Grace EastmanA finance major with a 3.91 GPA, Eastman appeared in 63 games and made 58 starts in her career as an Auggie. She scored a total of 201 points and added 193 rebounds, 48 steals, and 38 assists and was named to the Academic All-MIAC Team in each of the last two seasons. 

Katie ManeckeA mathematics and data science major with a 3.98 GPA, Manecke has appeared in 58 games and made 27 starts in her career so far, scoring a total of 165 points and adding 90 rebounds , 92 assists, and 43 steals. Manecke was named to the Academic All-MIAC Team last season.
