Knoepfle named All-MIAC Honorable Mention

Conner KnoepfleMINNEAPOLIS – Augsburg University men's basketball player Conner Knoepfle (SR, Andover, Minn./Andover HS) was named an All-Conference Honorable Mention by the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, it was announced by the conference office on Tuesday.

The MIAC honor comes as the second of Knoepfle's career, having previously been named to the MIAC All-Defensive Team as a junior. He also earned Academic All-MIAC honors in each of the previous three seasons and was named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC, formerly CoSIDA) Academic All-District Team just last week.

Knoepfle started all 25 games for the Auggies this season, averaging 11.8 points and 3.4 rebounds per-game while also leading the team with 60 assists and contributing 30 steals.

A business management major with a 3.79 GPA, Knoepfle finishes his five-year career at Augsburg having played in 78 games, including making 49 starts. Throughout his career, Knoepfle tallied a total of 577 points and added 154 rebounds and 139 assists.

Under 18th-year Head Coach Aaron Griess, the Auggies finished the season 8-17 overall and 6-14 in MIAC play, landing in 10th place among the conference standings.
