Auggie women stay on hot streak

MOORHEAD, Minn. – Outshooting their opponents by a 44-19 margin, the Augsburg University women's hockey team claimed victory for the 11th time in its last 13 games, a 3-1 triumph over Concordia College-Moorhead in the opener of a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference series

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Emily Cronkhite (SO, Eagan, Minn./Eagan HS) gave the Auggies the lead 5:16 into the game, scoring her team- and MIAC-leading 12th goal of the season, assisted by Katie Flynn (SR, Woodbury, Minn./East Ridge HS) and Kennedy Stein (JR, Lake Forest, Ill./Lake Forest HS). 
• Sydney Rydel (JR, Forest Lake, Minn./Forest Lake HS) gave the Auggies a 2-0 lead, scoring her fourth goal of the season at the 10:43 mark of the first period, assisted by Claire Jenkins Coffman (JR, Mount Pleasant, Wis./The Prairie School) and Jenna Gerold (SR, Farmington, Minn./Farmington HS).
Malia Schubert (JR, Mantorville, Minn./Kasson-Mantorville HS) scored her first collegiate goal in her three seasons as an Auggie, assisted by Nora Stepan (FY, Apple Valley, Minn./Eastview HS), 11:15 into the final period.
• The Auggies peppered the Cobbers with 44 shots on-goal -- its seventh game with 40 or more shots on-goal this year. 
Chloe Stockinger (JR, Sauk Rapids, Minn./Sauk Rapids-Rice HS) had 18 saves in goal for the Auggies.
