JAN PHYL VILLAGE, Fla. – The Augsburg University softball team split a pair of games on Tuesday at The Spring Games, topping Benedictine University (Ill.) 4-3 and falling 7-4 to St. Norbert College (Wis.).

• Augsburg scored single runs in the second and third innings, scored twice in the sixth and fought off a two-run Benedictine comeback in the seventh inning to pick up the win.

Brynn Hostettler (SO, Northfield, Minn./Northfield HS) pitched a complete game to improve to 3-0 on the year, striking out four while walking three and allowing six hits.

Zoie Johnson (SO, Carlton, Minn./Esko HS) led off the second inning, reaching base on a fielding error, and eventually came around to score on a sacrifice bunt byÂ
Olivia O'Connor (JR, White Bear Lake, Minn./White Bear Lake HS).Â
Jayden Evenson (FY, Mosinee, Wis./Mosinee HS) hit a one-out double in the third inning and scored on an RBI single by Johnson.

Torrie Rehder (SO, Goodhue, Minn./Goodhue HS) hit a double for the Auggies.
ST. NORBERT 7, AUGSBURG 4
• St. Norbert scored three runs in both the first and fifth innings to pull away from the Auggies in the second game of the day.
• Rehder led off the second game by reaching base on an error, and later scored on a passed ball.

Olivia Hennager (FY, Inver Grove Heights, Minn./Simley HS) hit a two-run single to drive in Rehder and
Kayla Hanson (SR, St. James, Minn./St. James HS) in the third inning, and Hostettler hit an RBI fielder's choice to plate Balint in the sixth.

Libby Moore (SO, Springville, Iowa/Springville HS) pitched a complete game for the Auggies.
FOR THE FOES
• Taylor Skraba had two hits and drove in all three runs for Benedictine in the first game of the day.
• Allison Ardito, Lilly Haase and Christina Paleka had two hits each for St. Norbert, with Ardito and Paleka each driving in two runs.
