MINNEAPOLIS -- The Augsburg University women's lacrosse team suffered a 19-3 nonconference defeat at the hands of NCAA Division II program Northern Michigan University on Friday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Northern Michigan dominated throughout the game, outshooting Division III program Augsburg by a 30-8 margin, claiming 19 draw controls to Augsburg's seven, and collecting 22 ground balls to Augsburg's nine. The Wildcats scored the first 11 goals of the game and held a 13-2 lead at halftime.

Jade Wilson (FY, Waukee, Iowa/Northwest HS) scored the first goal for Augsburg 17 seconds into the second quarter, scoring on a fast break off the opening draw. She assisted on a goal by
Eleanor Flynn (FY, Woodbury, Minn./East Ridge HS) in the second quarter, and
Mackenzie Galazen (SO, Kimball, Minn./Rocori HS) scored the other Auggie goal.
• Wilson had four draw controls, three ground balls and two caused turnovers for the Auggies.

Emma Meythaler (SO, Golden Valley, Minn./Hopkins HS) had a ground ball, draw control and caused turnover, while
Nikki Lee (SO, Maplewood, Minn./North St. Paul HS) had a ground ball and caused turnover. Flynn had two ground balls and a caused turnover.

FOR THE FOES
• Katelyn Mongold scored three goals to lead Northern Michigan.
• Camryn Mayer and Minnie Bittell scored two goals with two assists each. Bittell added six draw controls.
