Auggies drop 19-6 decision to Eagles

ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Alexa Hoffman (JR, Rochester, Minn./Mayo HS) and Jade Wilson (FY, Waukee, Iowa/Northwest HS) scored three goals each, leading the Augsburg University women's lacrosse team in a 19-6 Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference loss at the University of Northwestern-St. Paul on Wednesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Northwestern held a 6-3 lead after one quarter, with Hoffman scoring all three Augsburg goals. The Eagles then ran off 13 straight goals, before Wilson scored the final three goals of the game for the Auggies in the last 5:07 of play.
• The Eagles outshot the Auggies by a 45-10 margin, including a 26-5 advantage in the first half. Northwestern held a 19-10 advantage in draw controls and a 32-20 advantage in ground balls in the game.
• Wilson had four draw controls, three ground balls and two caused turnovers for the Auggies, while Hoffman had two caused turnovers, a ground ball and a draw control.
• Isabella Kohout (FY, Sauk Rapids, Minn./Sauk Rapids-Rice HS) contributed five ground balls and four caused turnovers, and Mackenzie Galazen (SO, Kimball, Minn./Rocori HS) added five draw controls. Kayla Courtney (JR, Maplewood, Minn./Roseville HS) had two ground balls, and Rylan Lee (SR, Parker, Colo./Ponderosa HS) had two caused turnovers and a ground ball.
