MINNEAPOLIS – The Augsburg University volleyball team hosted a triangular with the College of St. Scholastica and Luther College on Saturday afternoon, sweeping both the Saints and the Norse to improve to 9-5 on the season.

AUGSBURG 3, ST. SCHOLASTICA 0
• After earning a 25-19 win in set one, the Auggies were able to put it on cruise control with a dominant 25-13 win in set two. The Saints fought hard to extend the match in set three, but Augsburg found a way to finish strong with a 25-23 win to complete the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference sweep.
• The Augsburg attack looked sharp throughout the match, hitting .337 as a team compared to St. Scholastica's .153. Augsburg also held major advantages in kills (41-31), blocks (7-1), service aces (11-4), assists (38-28), and digs (41-36.)

Emily Kaup (JR, Omaha, Neb./Duchesne Academy) and
GK LeMonds (JR, St. Michael, Minn./St. Michael-Albertville HS) were outstanding for the Augsburg attack, leading the team with 11 kills each while hitting .526 and .500, respectively.
• Libero
Torrie Rehder (JR, Goodhue, Minn./Goodhue HS) anchored the defensive effort for Augsburg, tallying a team-high 13 digs.
AUGSBURG 3, LUTHER 0
• With the Norse leading 15-13 in set one, the Auggies flipped the script as they claimed 12 of the final 17 points to win the set 25-20. Augsburg maintained a narrow advantage for most of the second set and claimed a 25-17 win to take a 2-0 lead in the match. The Auggies dominated the early portion of set three, working out to a commanding 20-5 lead on the way to a 25-15 win to complete the sweep.
• As a team, Augsburg outhit the Norse .227 to .065 and held a 40-24 advantage in kills, a 9-4 advantage in aces, and a 37-23 advantage in assists.
• Kaup and
Bri Van Well (SR, Woodbury, Minn./Woodbury HS) paced the Auggies with 11 kills each while hitting .290 and .172, respectively.
Madison Gully (JR, Cedar, Minn./St. Francis HS) was extremely efficient, hitting at an outstanding .429 clip with eight kills.
• It was a group effort on defense for the Auggies as
Brier Ziemer (SO, Carver, Minn./Chaska HS) led the team with eight digs and Kaup, Rehder, and
Angel Vo (JR, Blaine, Minn./Mounds View HS) finished with seven each.
FOR THE FOES
• Lindsey Baribeau led the Saints with nine kills and a dig.
• Kyah Olson-Sola was the lone Norse player in double digits with 11 digs.
