Auggies close Oregon trip with win at George Fox

NEWBERG, Ore. -- Outshooting its opponents by a 21-5 margin, the Augsburg University men's soccer team closed its season-opening trip to Oregon with a 3-1 victory at George Fox University on Sunday morning.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Jeffrey Richter (SO, Portland, Ore./La Salle Catholic College Prep HS), one of five Oregon natives on the Augsburg roster, opened the scoring for the Auggies with a goal in the 30th minute, heading home a left-side cross from Mizael Harris (SO, Portland, Ore./La Salle Catholic College Prep HS).
• George Fox tied the game with a goal in the 44th minute, but Augsburg took the lead back two minutes into the second half, when Kebba Janneh (JR, Maple Grove, Minn./Maple Grove HS) scored his third goal of the weekend on a penalty kick, after an Augsburg player was taken down in the penalty box.
• The Auggies finished the scoring in the 64th minute, as Remus Repcak (FY, Tualatin, Ore./Tualatin HS) threaded the needle on a forward pass to Mitchel Munzing (SO, Portland, Ore./Grant HS), who completed the play with a breakaway shot to the low left corner of the net.
• Augsburg outshot George Fox by a 21-5 margin -- 8-1 in the first half and 13-4 in the second half. Augsburg also had 11 corner kicks to George Fox's two.
• Goalkeeper Oscar Herrera (SR, Madison, Wis./Madison West HS) had three saves to pick up the win.
