MINNEAPOLIS –
Daniel Chladek (SR, Anaheim, Calif./Canyon HS) claimed his third career multi-goal game for Augsburg University, scoring twice and adding an assist for a three-point night in the Auggies' 4-3 victory over Bethel University in the opener of a key Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference men's hockey series on Friday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• After a scoreless first half of the game, Chladek struck first for the Auggies with 4:25 left in the second period, threading the needle on a shot from the end line following a long feed by
Erik Palmqvist (SR, Linkoping, Sweden/Anderstorpsgymnasiet).
Duke Kiffin (FY, Shorewood, Minn./Minnetonka HS) had the second assist.
• Bethel scored twice in a 1:03 span late in the second period to take a 2-1 lead into the locker room, but the Auggies struck back with a pair of goals in a 40-second span early in the third period to take the lead for good.
Kyler Yeo (SR, Woodbury, Minn./Hill-Murray HS) scored a power-play goal, his second among his four goals on the season, at the 1:26 mark, scoring on a rebound off of a
Fritz Belisle (SR, Red Wing, Minn./Red Wing HS) shot, following a feed by
Michael Ferrandino (JR, Lisle, Ill./Waterloo West (Iowa) HS). Forty seconds later, Chladek gave the Auggies a 3-2 lead, scoring on a wrister from the top of the faceoff circle following a Palmqvist faceoff win.

Peyton Hanson (SO, Hudson, Wis./Hudson HS) gave the Auggies an important insurance goal with 2:23 left, scoring on an end-to-end break from Chladek and
Logan Kons (SR, Niles, Ill./Niles West HS). The Royals scored an extra-attacker goal with 44 seconds left, but could not come any closer.
• Augsburg outshot Bethel by a 40-35 margin. Goalie
Samuel Vyletelka (JR, Zilina, Slovakia/Grammar School of St. Francis of Assisi) had 32 saves in the win.
• The Auggies blocked 17 Bethel shot attempts in the game, with defender
Vincent Weis (SR, Madison, Wis./Madison Edgewood HS) blocking five shots.
FOR THE FOES
• Logan Anderson, Jack Brown and Spencer Kring scored goals for Bethel.
• Austin Ryman had 36 saves in goal for the Royals.
