HOW IT HAPPENED
• After the Johnnies opened the scoring just 22 seconds into the game, the Auggies responded just over six minutes later when
Dylan Schneider (JR, Rochester, Minn./ Shattuck-St. Mary's HS) took a feed from
Fritz Belisle (SR, Red Wing, Minn./Red Wing HS) and buried it in the back of the net to tie the game at 1-1.
Gunnar Williams (FY, Elgin, Ill./University of Nebraska HS) also picked up an assist on the play.
• Following a scoreless second period, the Auggies would net what would prove to be the game winner 12:45 into the third when
Daniel Chladek (SR, Anaheim, Calif./Canyon HS) put home a loose puck off an
Erik Palmqvist (SR, Linkoping, Sweden/Anderstorpsgymnasiet) odd-man rush opportunity to put Augsburg up 2-1. The second assist went to
Peyton Hanson (SO, Hudson, Wis./Hudson HS).
• The Auggies were outshot 36-25 in the game, but held a 22-6 edge in blocked shots. Goalie
Samuel Vyletelka (JR, Zilina, Slovakia/Grammar School of St. Francis of Assisi) had 35 saves in the game for the Auggies.
