Emily Cronkhite (JR, Eagan, Minn./Eagan HS) and
Nora Stepan (SO, Apple Valley, Minn./Eastview HS) scored third-period goals for Augsburg University, giving the Auggies a 2-1 Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference women's hockey victory over the College of Saint Benedict on Friday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• After a scoreless first two periods, Augsburg took the lead on Cronkhite's team-leading ninth goal of the season, notching her second shorthanded goal of the year with an unassisted breakaway 9:45 into the third period.
• Saint Benedict tied the game two minutes later, but Stepan scored her fifth goal of the year, and first game-winner, with 5:37 remaining in regulation time, assisted by
Kennedy Stein (SR, Lake Forest, Ill./Lake Forest HS).
• Augsburg claimed a season-high 49 shots on-goal, outshooting the host Bennies by a 49-39 margin.
• Goalie
Chloe Stockinger (SR, Sauk Rapids, Minn./Sauk Rapids-Rice HS) set a season-high saves total for the second straight game, stopping 38 of the 39 shots she faced to improve to 9-4-0 on the season.
• Stein had eight shots on-goal for Augsburg, while Stepan had seven shots on-goal. Cronkhite,
Tenley Stewart (SO, Esko, Minn./Esko HS) and
