WINONA, Minn. – The Augsburg University men's basketball team resumed Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play on Wednesday following the holiday break, taking down Saint Mary's University 62-55 on the road.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Both teams took turns holding the lead in the early goings with 15 lead changes in the game's opening 15 minutes. The Auggies managed to break a 25-25 tie with 4:13 remaining in the half, holding the advantage for the duration of the half as they headed to the locker room up 35-30.
• The Auggies extended their lead to as many as 10 points early in the second half, but a 14-4 Saint Mary's run evened the game up at 46 each with 9:48 to play. The Auggies regained control from that point, jumping back on top at 48-46 and maintaining the lead for the remainder of the game as they held on to secure the 62-55 win.
• As a team, the Auggies narrowly outshot the Cardinals 37.7% (23-of-61) to 36.1% (22-of-61) and outrebounded them 45-36. Augsburg also boasted the better performance from its bench players, outscoring the Cardinals 18-2 in the category.

Colin Meade (SR, Rochester, Minn./Lourdes HS) logged his first double-double of the season and just the second of his career in the win, finishing with a team-leading 15 points to go along with 10 rebounds and three assists.
Isaac Rabaey (JR, Hastings, Minn./Hastings HS) was second on the team with 11 points and five rebounds.
• Coming off the bench,
Austin Jentzen (SR, Brooklyn Park, Minn. St. Michael-Albertville HS) was the only other Auggie in double figures with 11 rebounds and eight points.
Will Blascziek (JR, Lakeville, Minn./Lakeville North HS) added nine points and six rebounds.
FOR THE FOES
• Cameron Mallory led all scorers with 20 points and six rebounds while Breyton Buysman added 17 points and six boards.
