MINNEAPOLIS –
Emily Schoeberl (SO, Eagan, Minn./Eagan HS) claimed her first collegiate multi-goal game, scoring a pair of goals to lead the Augsburg University women's hockey team to its fifth straight victory, a 3-1 nonconference triumph over the University of Wisconsin-Superior on Tuesday evening at Ed Saugestad Rink.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Schoeberl scored her first goal of the game at the 11:10 mark of the second period, tipping home a centering attempt from the left half-wall by
Tenley Stewart (SO, Esko, Minn./Esko HS), off a drop pass by
Emily Cronkhite (JR, Eagan, Minn./Eagan HS).
• Her second goal of the game came on the power play at the 11:52 mark of the third period, on a one-timer in the slot off a centering pass by
Elizabeth Fagerlind (JR, Kasson, Minn./Kasson-Mantorville HS).
Nora Stepan (SO, Apple Valley, Minn./Eastview HS) had the second assist on the goal.

Kennedy Stein (SR, Lake Forest, Ill./Lake Forest HS) opened the scoring for the Auggies with an unassisted, shorthanded goal with 1:29 left in the first period, stealing the puck in the neutral zone and scoring on a rebound of her initial shot on-goal. The goal was the first shorthanded marker of her college career.
• Augsburg outshot UW-Superior by a 37-23 margin in the game, and also blocked 10 shot attempts by the Yellowjackets.

Chloe Stockinger (SR, Sauk Rapids, Minn./Sauk Rapids-Rice HS) recorded 22 saves on 23 shots faced to improve to 6-3-0 on the season.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE
• Augsburg completed a nonconference sweep of UW-Superior, also recording an
8-1 road victory on Nov. 4. Of the Auggies' 11 goals against the Yellowjackets, five were on special teams -- three power-play goals and two shorthanded markers.
• Augsburg has now outscored its opponents by a 38-21 margin this season.
FOR THE FOES
• Jenna Hoops scored from Cora Coz and Brynn MacLean 43 seconds into the second period for UW-Superior.
• Molly Black started in goal and had 12 saves in a period-and-a-half, with Abby Pajari playing the remainder of the game and recording 22 saves.
