THE BASICS
FINAL SCORE: Augsburg 1, Saint Benedict 0
LOCATION: Edor Nelson Field, Minneapolis
RECORDS: Augsburg 5-2-3 overall (1-0-3 MIAC), Saint Benedict 3-3-4 overall (0-2-2 MIAC)

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Ponce gained the ball 50 yards out and sprinted to the 18-yard box, eluding several defenders and sending a left-footed grounder past the Bennie goalkeeper to the low right corner, claiming her ninth goal of the season, tying her for the lead in goals in the MIAC. Her 20 points are second-most among MIAC players.
• Saint Benedict outshot Augsburg by a 19-12 margin, but Enlow came up big in goal for the Auggies in picking up her third shutout of the season and Augsburg's sixth as a team.
• Augsburg's defense came up strong, especially in the second half, keeping the Bennies from completing several attempts in their attacking third. Defenders Samantha Meyer (SR, Prior Lake, Minn./Prior Lake HS) and Grace Dickerson (JR, Northfield, Minn./Northfield HS) played the full 90 minutes, along with center midfieler Annika Rudolph (SR, Richfield, Minn./Richfield HS). Hannah Hatfield (JR, Rogers, Ark./Rogers HS), Avery Rich (FY, Minnetonka, Minn./Minnetonka HS), Phoebe Alva Rosa (JR, Jackson, Wyo./Jackson Hole HS) and Abby Rosebur (JR, South St. Paul, Minn./South St. Paul HS) also provided solid support in the defensive third.
• Ponce had six shots in the game for the Auggies, while Allison Hookom (JR, Anoka, Minn./Anoka HS) had two shots.
