Rehder joins 1,000-dig club in Auggie sweep

MINNEAPOLIS – Libero Torrie Rehder (SR, Goodhue, Minn./Goodhue HS) became the 16th player in Augsburg University volleyball history to reach 1,000 digs in her career, compiling 13 digs in the Auggies' three-set sweep over Saint Mary's University in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference match on Friday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Recording her 13th double-digit dig performance of the season, Rehder now has 1,001 digs in her collegiate career in 82 career matches (268 sets). Sixteen Auggies have now recorded 1,000 digs in team history, led by Macey Terhell '19, who had 2,339 from 2015-18. Rehder also tied a career-best with four service aces in Friday's match.
• Augsburg was dominant in the match, which lasted just 68 minutes. The Auggies hit .306 as a team in the match, with 47 kills against just 14 errors in 108 attack attempts. Meanwhile, the Cardinals scored just 34 points in the match and had a .000 attack percentage, with 16 kills and 16 errors on 90 attack attempts. The Auggies used a 10-0 scoring run to close out the first set, 25-11, and used a 9-2 run to take the second set, 25-15. Augsburg opened the third set scoring the first 10 points amd eventually led 18-2, en route to a 25-8 win.
• Bri Van Well (SR, Woodbury, Minn./Woodbury HS) paced the Auggies with 17 kills, hitting .394 (four errors in 33 swings), her 17th double-digit kill match of the season and seventh hitting .300 or better. She added six digs.
Madison Gully (SR, Oak Grove, Minn./St. Francis HS) collected eight kills on .412 hitting, adding a block assist. Elizabeth Oster (SO, Bemidji, Minn./Bemidji HS) had six kills with no errors, hitting .857, with two blocks (one solo). Taylor Hoehns (JR, Cedar Falls, Iowa/Dike-New Hartford HS) had five kills and GK LeMonds (SR, St. Michael, Minn./St. Michael-Albertville HS) had two block assists and three kills. Ava Carlson (FY, Cloquet, Minn./Cloquet HS) had 10 digs and a block assist.
• Angel Vo (SR, Blaine, Minn./Mounds View HS) had 16 assists, five digs and two service aces, and Jovial King (SO, Caledonia, Minn./Caledonia HS) had 15 assists and eight digs.

FOR THE FOES
• Kali Olson had seven kills and a solo block to lead the Cardinals.
• Emma Rommes had seven assists and four digs, and Lindsey Rossow had 16 digs.
