MINNEAPOLIS – Hitting .294 as a team with 53 kills, the Augsburg University volleyball team extended its winning streak to seven straight matches with a sweep of Concordia College-Moorhead in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play on Saturday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Augsburg dominated from start to finish, not surrendering a lead until the third set in the match that lasted just 66 minutes. The Auggies hit .343 in the first set, winning 25-12, and hit .325 in the second set, winning 25-16. Augsburg hit .235 in the third set, winning 25-19. Sixteen Auggies saw game action in the victory.
• Bri Van Well (SR, Woodbury, Minn./Woodbury HS) hit .419, with 16 kills against three errors in 31 swings, and added 14 digs for her fifth kill-dig double-double of the season. She also had a team-best three block assists.
• Elizabeth Oster (SO, Bemidji, Minn./Bemidji HS) hit .636, with eight kills on 11 swings with only one error. Madison Gully (SR, Oak Grove, Minn./St. Francis HS) also had eight kills. Taylor Hoehns (JR, Cedar Falls, Iowa/Dike-New Hartford HS) had six kills.
• Angel Vo (SR, Blaine, Minn./Mounds View HS) had 25 assists, two service aces and six digs, while Jovial King (SO, Caledonia, Minn./Caledonia HS) had 18 assists and nine digs. Libero Torrie Rehder (SR, Goodhue, Minn./Goodhue HS) had 19 digs.

FOR THE FOES
• Ashlyn Thompson had five kills and a block assist to lead Concordia.
• Betsy Schiltz had 20 assists and nine digs.
