Auggies claim 4-2 win over Lumberjacks

MINNEAPOLIS -- Graham Harris (FY, Minnetonka, Minn./Minnetonka HS) scored two goals and added an assist for a three-point night, leading his Augsburg University men's hockey team to a 4-2 nonconference victory over Northland College on Friday evening at Ed Saugestad Rink.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Harris gave the Auggies a 2-1 lead at the 15:39 mark of the first period, connecting on a one-timer in the slot off a feed from the left side by Conner Schneider (FY, Sun Prairie, Wis./Shattuck-St. Mary's HS). Zachary Reim (FY, Shoreview, Minn./Gentry Academy) had the second assist on the goal. Harris finished the scoring with an empty-net goal at the 18:44 mark of the third period, assisted by Reim and Michael Ferrandino (SR, Lisle, Ill./Waterloo West (Iowa) HS).
Gunnar Williams (SO, Elgin, Ill./Burlington Central HS) opened the scoring for the Auggies 2:31 into the contest, snapping a rising wrist shot from between the faceoff circles, assisted by Dylan Schneider (SR, Rochester, Minn./Shattuck-St. Mary's HS) and Harris.
• Peyton Hanson (JR, Hudson, Wis./Hudson HS) gave the Auggies a 3-1 lead at the 14:33 mark in the third period, slicing a low shot to the left corner of the net off a feed from behind the net by Landon Parker (SO, East Grand Forks, Minn./East Grand Forks HS).
• Augsburg outshot Northland by a 43-20 margin in the game. Parker had six shots, while Harris, Ferrandino and Daniel Chladek (SR, Anaheim, Calif./Canyon HS) had four shots each.
Carsen Stokes (SO, Prior Lake, Minn./Shattuck-St. Mary's HS) picked up his third victory of the season, collecting 18 saves.

FOR THE FOES
• Dyson Germann and Andronique Stepanian scored goals for Northland.
• Dakota Meyer had 29 saves in goal for the Lumberjacks.
