MINNEAPOLIS -- The Augsburg University men's hockey team dropped a 5-1 nonconference decision to the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire on Saturday evening at Ed Saugestad Rink.

• The Blugolds built a 3-0 lead early in the third period before Augsburg was able to put its lone goal on the board.
Daniel Chladek (SR, Anaheim, Calif./Canyon HS) scored on a rebound of a shot by
Jake Osiecki (SR, Verona, Wis./Verona HS), following a pass from
Peyton Hanson (JR, Hudson, Wis./Hudson HS).
• UW-Eau Claire outshot Augsburg by a 30-25 margin and controlled the flow of play throughout the game.
Carsen Stokes (SO, Prior Lake, Minn./Shattuck-St. Mary's HS) had 25 saves in goal for the Auggies.

Gunnar Williams (SO, Elgin, Ill./Burlington Central HS) had four blocked shots, while Osiecki had three blocked shots.
FOR THE FOES
• Leo Bacallao had a three-goal hat trick for UW-Eau Claire, with Connor Szmul and Jordan Randall adding the other Blugold goals.
• Blugold goalie Max Gutjahr had 24 saves.
