Samantha Meyer (SR, Prior Lake, Minn./Prior Lake HS), forward
Jayla Ponce (SR, Kuna, Idaho/Kuna HS) -- were named to the Academic All-District Women's Soccer Team, as selected by College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA), it was announced on Tuesday.
Alva Rosa is a physics major with a 3.98 grade-point average, Dickerson is a biology major with a 4.00 GPA, Hatfield is an economics/psychology major with a 4.00 GPA, Hookom is a biology major with a 3.93 GPA, Meyer is a biopsychology major with a 3.93 GPA, and Ponce is a graduate student in the master's of business administration (business administration/economics undergraduate major) with a 4.00 GPA.
All six Auggies earned Academic All-Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Honors last season, Meyer for the second straight year. It's the second straight CSC Academic All-District honor for Alva Rosa, Dickerson, Hatfield and Ponce, and the first for Meyer. Hookom earned Academic All-MIAC and CSC Academic All-District honors in track and field last season. Ponce will advance to the CSC Academic All-America Division III women's soccer national ballot, which will be voted on by Division III sports information directors and announced in December.

Alva Rosa earned
MIAC All-Playoff Team honors this season for her strong efforts in Augsburg 1-0 playoff loss at St. Olaf on Nov. 4. A versatile player who filled both attacking and defensive duties this season, Alva Rosa started 17 of 18 games (1,275 minutes played, 70.8 minutes per-game), scoring one goal with two assists for four points. She scored the game-winning goal in the 89th minute in Augsburg's 1-0 win over Concordia-Moorhead on Oct. 12. In 55 games (3,987 minutes played, 72.5 minutes per-game), Alva Rosa has scored eight goals with 12 assists for 28 career points.

Dickerson moved into a starting role as a wing defender this season, starting 15 games and playing in 1,088 minutes (72.5 minutes per-game). She scored two goals with an assist for five points this season, scoring in the Auggies' 7-0 win at Coe (Iowa) on Sept. 15, and in Augsburg's 2-0 win at Wisconsin-Stout on Sept. 25. Dickerson has played in 40 games (2,079 minutes played, 52.0 minutes per-game) in her collegiate career, scoring three goals with an assist for seven career points.

Hatfield had a strong campaign in her second season as a starting defensive midfielder, starting all 18 games (1,408 minutes, 78.2 minutes per-game), with seven full 90-minute performance and all but one game with 60-plus minutes played. Hatfield has played in 47 games (3,106 minutes, 66.1 minutes per-game) in her collegiate career, with four career assists.

Hookom was one of the key players off the bench for most of the season, playing in 18 games (six starts) and playing 733 minutes (40.7 minutes per-game). She tied for third on the team with three goals scored this season -- a goal in Augsburg's 7-0 win at Coe (Iowa) on Sept. 15, a goal in the Auggies' 1-1 tie at Gustavus on Oct. 5, and the first goal in Augsburg's 2-1 win over Concordia-Moorhead on Oct. 12. Hookom has now played in 54 career games (1,941 minutes played, 35.9 minutes per-game) with six goals and two assists for 14 career points. Also a sprinter on Augsburg's women's track and field team, Hookom has earned two MIAC titles, four All-MIAC selections and two All-MIAC Honorable Mention selections.
Meyer earned All-MIAC Honorable Mention honors in 2024, her first conference postseason honor. She was one of the backbones of an Augsburg defense that allowed just 16 opponent goals this season,
fourth-fewest among MIAC teams, with its .889 goals against-average also fourth-best in the conference. Starting 16 of her 18 games played this season (1,358 minutes played, 75.4 minutes per-game), Meyer played nine full-90-minute contests and assisted on the game-winning goal in Augsburg's MIAC playoff-clinching 1-0 win at Macalester on Nov. 2. Playing in 53 games (3,786 minutes, 71.4 minutes per-game) in three seasons as an Auggie, Meyer scored one goal with two assists for four career points.
Ponce earned All-MIAC honors for the third year in a row in 2024. Returning for a graduate campaign, Ponce was once again one of the best all-around players in the MIAC this season. In her third season as an Auggie after transferring from Division II Fort Lewis (Colo.), Ponce led the Auggies with 12 goals, 27 points and five game-winning goals, to go along with three assists.
Her 12 goals tied for the MIAC lead this season, while her 27 points were second-most. Starting all 18 games (1,456 minutes played, 81.4 minutes per-game), she had eight full 90-minute efforts, scoring goals in seven contests. She had two of her three collegiate hat tricks this season, scoring three goals in Augsburg's 6-0 win at Bethany Lutheran on Sept. 10 and in the Auggies' 3-0 win over St. Scholastica on Oct. 26. Playing in 55 games in three seasons as an Auggie (4,457 minutes, 81.0 minutes per-game), Ponce scored 29 goals (sixth-most in Augsburg history) with 24 assists (seventh) for 82 points (sixth) in her Auggie years.

Clara Webby, Augsburg finished 8-5-5 overall, 4-2-5 in MIAC play in 2024. Augsburg made its 14th appearance in the MIAC postseason playoffs since 2004, and 10th playoff appearance in the last 12 full seasons.
The CSC Academic All-District team is part of theÂ
CSC Academic All-America program. Student-athletes must have a grade-point average above 3.50 (4.0 scale) and have outstanding athletic credentials. Academic All-District honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced in early December.
The Division III Academic All-America program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division III national governance structure, to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the Division III Academic All-America teams program.
