RIVER FALLS, Wis. – Making her collegiate debut,
Ruby Eskin (FY, Minneapolis, Minn./Roseville HS) scored two goals, including the game-tying goal with 12 seconds left in regulation time, as the Augsburg University women's hockey team scored a 4-4, overtime tie with the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, the defending NCAA Division III national champions, in a nonconference clash on Friday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Grace Bonnell (SO, Madison, Wis./Memorial HS) scored Augsburg's first goal of the season just 60 seconds into the game, assisted by
Kate Haug (JR, Roseville, Minn./Roseville HS) and Anna Mielke (FY, Waconia, Minn./Waconia HS). The Falcons answered just 14 seconds later, but Augsburg took the lead back at the 5:38 mark, when
Molly Grundhoffer (SO, Cleveland, Minn./Shattuck-St. Mary's HS), a transfer from Division I St. Thomas, scored her first Auggie goal, an unassisted tally.
• Eskin gave the Auggies a 3-2 lead midway through the second period with her first collegiate goal, with
Jenna Allen (FY, Minnetonka, Minn./Holy Family Catholic HS) and
Mei Diesing (FY, Arlington Heights, Ill./TPH Academy Chicago) recording their first collegiate points with assists.
• The Falcons scored twice in the third period to take the lead, but with the extra attacker in the closing seconds, Eskin tied the game with a goal from
Livia Brehm (JR, Detroit Lakes, Minn./Stillwater HS) at the 19:48 mark.
• Both teams had three shots on-goal in the five-minute overtime, with the game officially ending in a tie. In a shootout,
Emily Cronkhite (SR, Eagan, Minn./Eagan HS) scored for the Auggies, but the Falcons scored twice.
• UW-River Falls outshot Augsburg by a 33-21 margin in the game, with
Marissa Paaske (JR, Crystal Lake, Ill./Crystal Lake Central HS) collecting 29 saves.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE
• The draw broke UW-River Falls' winning streak at 32 straight games, an NCAA Division III women's hockey record.
