MINNEAPOLIS – Outshooting its opponents by a 43-9 margin in a dominant performance, the Augsburg University women's hockey team claimed its fifth shutout victory in nine games, a 6-0 nonconference triumph over the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point on Friday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Eight different Auggies figured in the scoring in Friday's win, with the top two forward lines accounting for 14 of the 16 points recorded by Auggies in the game.
• Augsburg's No. 2 forward line of
Ruby Eskin (FY, Minneapolis, Minn./Roseville HS),
Emma Abrahamson (SO, Carpentersville, Ill./Hampshire HS) and
Jenna Allen (FY, Minnetonka, Minn./Holy Family Catholic HS) figured in three goals, with Eskin scoring twice, Abrahamson scoring a goal with two assists and Allen adding three assists.
• Augsburg's top forward line of
Emily Schoeberl (JR, Eagan, Minn./Eagan HS),
Emily Cronkhite (SR, Eagan, Minn./Eagan HS) and
Kate Haug (JR, Roseville, Minn./Roseville HS) figured in two goals, with Schoeberl and Haug claiming a goal and assist each, and Cronkhite adding two assists.

Nora Stepan (JR, Apple Valley, Minn./Eastview HS) scored from
Addy Milota (FY, Stoughton, Wis./Stoughton HS) in the final minute of the game, with Milota gaining her first collegiate point in the process.
• Augsburg, ranked No. 6 in both the latest USCHO.com and D-III Hockey News Division III national polls, held a 43-9 shots on-goal advantage in the game -- its fewest shots allowed by an opponent since allowing just six shots in a 10-0 home win over Marian (Wis.) on Jan. 4, 2020.
• The Auggies, who have outscored their opponents by a 35-9 margin in their first nine games, claimed their fifth shutout win of the season -- just one short of their total of six from all of last season.

Marissa Paaske (JR, Crystal Lake, Ill./Crystal Lake Central HS) earned her second shutout of the season and fourth of her career, saving all nine shots she faced.
• In addition to her two goals, Eskin also claimed a team-high three blocked shots in the game.
