ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Holding an opponent to its fewest points since the 2018-19 season, the Augsburg University women's basketball team scored a 48-35 nonconference victory over Crown College on Monday afternoon at the University of Northwestern-St. Paul.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The game was relatively close early, with the Auggies leading 29-22 at halftime. Leading 39-35 after three quarters, the Auggies blanked the Polars in the fourth quarter, with a 9-0 advantage that produced the final margin of victory. With both teams shooting under 24 percent from the field, Augsburg outrebounded Crown by a 47-40 margin -- including a 13-8 advantage in offensive rebounds that produced an 11-4 advantage in second-chance points.

Amira LaDuke (JR, Cass Lake, Minn./Cass Lake-Bena HS) claimed her first collegiate double-double, scoring 14 points with a career-high 11 rebounds, adding three blocked shots, an assist and a steal.Â

Lani Fonoti (FY, Cloquet, Minn./Cloquet HS) scored nine points.

• Crown's 35 points were the fewest scored by an Augsburg women's basketball opponent since the Auggies scored a 94-25 win over Crown on Nov. 15, 2018.
