ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Outscored by a 37-21 margin in the second half, the Augsburg University women's basketball team dropped a 61-46 nonconference decision at the University of Northwestern-St. Paul on Tuesday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Northwestern pulled out to a 22-11 advantage midway through the second quarter, before the Auggies used a 14-3 run to take a 25-24 halftime lead. Tied 30-30 with 6:45 left in the third quarter, the Eagles used a 10-0 run to take a double-digit lead, which extended to as many as 18 points down the stretch.
• The Auggies were paced by forward
Amira LaDuke (JR, Cass Lake, Minn./Cass Lake-Bena HS), who scored 12 points with six rebounds, two steals, an asssist and a blocked shot.

Lani Fonoti (FY, Cloquet, Minn./Cloquet HS) scored a season-high 11 points, hitting three 3-pointers, adding three rebounds and a block.

Wakinyela Bear (JR, Morrison, Colo./Meskwaki (Iowa) HS) scored eight points with three rebounds, and
Cassidee Thorvig (SR, Sandstone, Minn./East Central HS), playing in just her second game as an Auggie, scored five points.
