Third-period burst sends Gusties over Auggies

ST. PETER, Minn. -- Scoring four goals in a 6:01 span in the third period, the Gustavus Adolphus College men's hockey team broke a 1-1 tie and claimed a 5-1 Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference victory over visiting Augsburg University on Friday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Trailing 1-0 after one period, Augsburg tied the game at the 8:38 mark of the second frame, as Landon Parker (SO, East Grand Forks, Minn./East Grand Forks HS) scored his fourth goal of the season, a power-play marker from Graham Harris (FY, Minnetonka, Minn./Minnetonka HS) and Michael Ferrandino (SR, Lisle, Minn./Waterloo West (Iowa) HS). 
• Gustavus outshot Augsburg by a 28-15 margin, including a 13-5 advantage in the third period, scoring four goals in rapid succession.
• Ferrandino had five shots on-goal for the Auggies, while Dylan Schneider (SR, Rochester, Minn./Shattuck-St. Mary's HS) had three shots.
Carsen Stokes (SO, Prior Lake, Minn./Shattuck-St. Mary's HS) had 23 saves in goal for the Auggies.
