MINNEAPOLIS -- Katie Manecke (SR, Shoreview, Minn./Mounds View HS) scored a team-high 15 points for Augsburg University in its 59-56 Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference women's basketball loss to Macalester College on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The game was close throughout, with neither team leading by more than eight points. The game featured six lead changes and a tie. Augsburg hit 43.6 percent (24-of-55) from the field, while Macalester hit just 33.9 percent (19-of-56). The Scots took advantage of 20 Augsburg turnovers, however, turning them into 12 points.
• Manecke led the way for the Auggies with 15 points, adding four assists and four rebounds.
• Amira LaDuke (JR, Cass Lake, Minn./Cass Lake-Bena HS) scored 10 points with seven rebounds and two blocked shots.
• Wakinyela Bear (JR, Morrison, Colo./Meskwaki (Iowa) HS) scored nine points with four rebounds, and Maecee Alexander (So, St. Louis Park, Minn./St. Louis Park HS) scored eight points.
• Melanie Delestrez (JR, Lake Stevens, Wash./Lake Stevens HS) had eight rebounds and two assists, to go along with four p0ints, and Jada Stanford (FY, Brooklyn Park, Minn./Champlin Park HS) scored six points.
 
FOR THE FOES
• Macalester was paced by Katherine Norquist, who scored 19 points with nine rebounds and two blocked shots.
• Peyton Starks scored 17 points.
