MINNEAPOLIS – The Augsburg University men's basketball team hosted Concordia College-Moorhead in its final home game of the season on Saturday afternoon, dropping a 75-67 decision to the Cobbers on senior day.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• After playing to a 15-15 tie with 11:08 on the clock on the first half, the Cobbers took the lead and began to create separating, leading by as many as 13 before taking a 39-30 lead into the locker room at halftime.
• The Auggies methodically chipped away at the deficit throughout the second half, eventually making it just a two-point game at 67-65 with 3:32 remaining. Concordia recovered from that point, closing the game on an 8-2 run to hang on for the eight-point win.
• Augsburg connected on 21 of its 55 shot attempts in the game (38.2%), including 8-of-26 from beyond the arc (30.8%). The Cobbers hit on 30-of-75 from the field (40.0%) and 6-of-21 from deep (28.6%). Despite losing the turnover battle 12-9, the Auggies held a 9-2 edge in points off turnovers. Augsburg's bench provided another advantage with a 36-22 edge in scoring from the reserves.

Isaac Rabaey (JR, Hastings, Minn./Hastings HS) put together a perfect shooting performance, hitting all five of his attempts from the field for a team-leading 14 points while adding four rebounds. Also coming off the bench,
Elias Batala (FY, Apple Valley, Minn./Eastview HS) was just behind him with 13 points on 4-of-9 shooting.

Will Blascziek (JR, Lakeville, Minn./Lakeville North HS) led the starters with nine points, three rebounds, three steals, and a block.
Nick Hendler (SR, Shakopee, Minn./Holy Family Catholic HS) and
Caden Scales (SR, Richfield, Minn./Eastview HS) scored seven points each for the Auggies, and
Austin Jentzen (SR, Brooklyn Park, Minn./St. Michael-Albertville HS) led the team with 12 rebounds to go along with four points.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
• The game marked the final home appearances for a trio of Augsburg seniors:
Nick Hendler,
Austin Jentzen, and
Caden Scales.
FOR THE FOES
• Jacob Cook led all scorers in the game with 18 points and 12 rebounds for the Cobbers.
