SEWANEE, Tenn. – Outshot by a 29-7 margin in the game, the University of the South (Sewanee) scored a 19-5 nonconference women's lacrosse victory over Augsburg University on Wednesday morning.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Sewanee scored the first seven goals of the game against 10-player Augsburg, building a 10-1 halftime advantage. Sewanee claimed a 17-6 advantage in ground balls and 17-10 advantage in draw controls.

Jade Wilson (SO, Waukee, Iowa/Northwest HS) scored four goals with an assist for a five-point day to lead Augsburg, adding three draw controls and a caused turnover. Wilson now has 27 goals and six assists for 33 points in her first seven games of the season,
leading the Midwest Lacrosse Conference in goals and points.

Alexa Hoffman (SR, Rochester, Minn./Mayo HS) scored a goal and added four draw controls and a caused turnover.

Kayla Courtney (SR, Maplewood, Minn./Roseville HS) had three caused turnovers and a ground ball, and
Mackenzie Galazen (JR, Kimball, Minn./Rocori HS) contributed three draw controls.

Abaigeal Luallen (SO, Pensacola, Fla./Pensacola HS) had 14 saves in the first half, adding a ground ball.
Emma Meythaler (JR, Golden Valley, Minn./Hopkins HS) had five saves in the second half, and added a caused turnover.
FOR THE FOES
• Erika Bolcar and Emma Burns scored three goals each for Sewanee, with Bolcar adding four draw controls and a ground ball.
• Brooke Sigmon and Morgan Boylan had two goals and an assist each, and Raleigh Cooper scored a goal with four assists.
