VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Augsburg University's Allison Hookom (SO, Andover, Minn./Anoka HS) competed in the 400-meter dash at the NCAA Division III Indoor National Championships in Virginia Beach, Virginia on Friday afternoon, placing 18th overall in the field of 20 runners.

Hookom clocked a time of 57.67 seconds, breaking her personal record and recording the second-fastest time in program history. Hookom will not advance to the finals on Saturday, with only the top eight finishers in the preliminaries qualifying.

Hookom's second consecutive NCAA Indoor Championships appearance caps off an excellent indoor season for the sophomore sprinter after earning a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference title in the 600-meter dash, securing All-MIAC honors in the 400-meter dash, and becoming the first Auggie to qualify for back-to-back national meets since Jada Lewis in 2019 and 2020.

With the indoor season now completed, the Auggies will now make the transition to the outdoor season, competing at the Point Loma Nazarene Ross and Sharon Irwin Invitational over spring break in San Diego, California on Saturday, March 16.
