MINNEAPOLIS -- The Augsburg University softball team claimed a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference doubleheader sweep of Concordia College-Moorhead in two wildly different games, walking off the Cobbers in a 3-2 win in the opener, and scoring a 10-1, five-inning win in the second contest on Sunday at Edor Nelson Field.

GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS
• Augsburg trailed 2-0 in the middle of the fourth inning, but rallied back with three runs in the final four frames to take the first-game victory.
• An RBI single by
Jaime Olson (SO, Minneapolis, Minn./South HS) plated
Olivia Hennager (SO, Inver Grove Heights, Minn./Simley HS) in the fourth inning, and
Morgann Paaske (JR, Crystal Lake, Ill./Crystal Lake Central HS) hit her first home run as an Auggie, a solo blast to right field, in the bottom of the sixth.

Lola Pilon (FY, St. Paul, Minn./Mounds Park Academy HS) led off the bottom of the seventh with a single, and pinch-runner
Megan Gissler (FY, Louisville, Neb./Louisville HS) advanced to second on a single by
Zoie Johnson (JR, Carlton, Minn./Esko HS). Gissler advanced to third on an obstruction call on a fielder's choice by Hennager, and
Libby Moore (SR, Springville, Iowa/Springville HS) ended the game with an RBI single to left to drive in Gissler.
• Moore improved to 4-1 on the season in the pitching circle, pitching an efficient complete game, with a strikeout and walk against nine hits. She had 57 strikes among her 82 pitches.

Torrie Rehder (JR, Goodhue, Minn./Goodhue HS) went 3-for-4 at the plate for the Auggies, while Olson went 2-for-2 with a double.
GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS
• Augsburg pounded out 11 hits in the second game win, which ended in the fifth inning due to the NCAA eight-run rule. The Auggies scored three runs in the second inning, then sent 11 batters to the plate and scored seven runs on seven hits in the third inning.
• An RBI single by Olson, a bases-loaded walk by pinch-hitter
Olivia Dynneson (SR, Minneapolis, Minn./South HS) and an RBI fielder's choice by Rehder gave the Auggies their three runs in the third.
• Johnson was hit by a pitch to lead off the third frame, and Hennager moved her to third base on a double. RBI singles by Moore and Paaske drove in a pair of runs, and with the bases loaded,
Jayden Evenson (SO, Mosinee, Wis./Mosinee HS) hit a bases-clearing double to deep center to break the game open. Pinch-hitters
Teron Ormond-Miller (FY, Rosemount, Minn./Rosemount HS) and
Maddalyn Deal (FY, Brooklyn Park, Minn./Osseo HS) drove in runs on a groundout and single to cap the Auggies' scoring.
• Rehder, Hennager, Moore and Olson had two hits each for the Auggies in the second game.
• Paaske improved to 10-3 on the season with the pitching win, striking out six against no walks and four hits in four innings.
Olivia O'Connor (SR, White Bear Lake, Minn./White Bear Lake HS) struck out one in a scoreless fifth inning.
FOR THE FOES
• Emma Bowman and Rees Hauck had two hits each for Concordia in the first game.
• Kailee Falconer had two hits and scored the Cobbers' run in the second game.
