DULUTH, Minn. -- Behind complete-game pitching performances by
Olivia O'Connor (SR, White Bear Lake, Minn./White Bear Lake HS) and
Morgann Paaske (JR, Crystal Lake, Ill./Crystal Lake Central HS), the Augsburg University softball team claimed a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference doubleheader sweep of the College of St. Scholastica on Tuesday afternoon, winning 4-2 and 2-0.

GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS
• O'Connor surrendered a pair of runs in the first inning, but gave up just four hits and three walks after the opening frame, as the Saints stranded eight runners on-base. O'Connor collected four strikeouts in her 110-pitch, 66-strike complete-game victory.
• The Auggies tied the game in the third inning.
Jayden Evenson (SO, Mosinee, Wis./Mosinee HS) walked, stole second, moved to third on a single by
Katie Manecke (SR, Shoreview, Minn./Mounds View HS), and came home on a sacrifice fly by
Zoie Johnson (JR, Carlton, Minn./Esko HS). Manecke then came home on an RBI single by
Olivia Hennager (SO, Inver Grove Heights, Minn./Simley HS).
• Augsburg went ahead with a pair of runs in the fifth. Hennager hit an RBI double to bring home pinch-runner
Teron Ormond-Miller (FY, Rosemount, Minn./Rosemount HS), and
Libby Moore (SR, Springville, Iowa/Springville HS) plated Johnson on an RBI groundout.
• Hennager went 3-for-4 in the first game, while
Torrie Rehder (JR, Goodhue, Minn./Goodhue HS) went 2-for-4.
GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS
• Pitcher Paaske threw her second shutout of the season, striking out two while walking one and allowing six hits. Of her 92 pitches, 62 were strikes.
• Augsburg had just three hits in the second game, but one was a home run by Johnson to lead off the fourth inning, giving the Auggies a 2-0 lead.
• The Auggies scored a run without a hit in the second inning. Paaske reached base on an error, moved to third base on a sacrifice bunt by
Olivia Dynneson (SR, Minneapolis, Minn./South HS), and scored on a passed ball.
• Johnson had two of Augsburg's three hits in the game, with
Lola Pilon (FY, St. Paul, Minn./Mounds Park Academy HS) claiming the other hit.
FOR THE FOES
• Grace Hadlich went 2-for-3 with a run scored in the first game for St. Scholastica.
• Pitcher Haley Rosenthal struck out seven against two walks in the second game.
