MINNEAPOLIS – Augsburg University sprinter Allison Hookom (SO, Andover, Minn./Anoka HS) was named to the College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA) Academic All-District Track and Field Team, it was announced this week.

The 2024 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Track & Field teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the track, in the field, and in the classroom. Student-athletes must have a grade-point average above 3.50 (4.0 scale) and have outstanding athletic credentials.

Hookom put together another outstanding campaign in her sophomore season, securing All-Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference honors in two events in the indoor season and an All-MIAC Honorable Mention nod in the outdoor season. She claimed the conference title in the indoor 600-meter with a school record time of 1:35.71 and placed second at the conference meet in the indoor 400-meter dash with a time of 58.13 seconds, advancing to the NCAA Indoor National Championships where she finished 18^th in the 400-meter dash.

At the MIAC Outdoor Championships, Hookom placed fourth in the 800-meter run with a personal-best time of 2:14.85, the third-fastest in school history. Across her first two indoor and outdoor seasons at Augsburg, Hookom has collected two conference titles, four All-MIAC selections, and two honorable mention nods.

Hookom will advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot with Women's Track and Field first-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees set to be announced on Tuesday, July 9.

The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2023-24 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
