WHITEWATER, Wis. – The Augsburg University volleyball team wrapped up its weekend at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Invitational on Saturday afternoon, falling to the host Warhawks 3-1 (25-18, 27-15, 19-25, 25-22) before sweeping Lake Forest College (25-23, 25-14, 25-17).

UW-WHITEWATER 3, AUGSBURG 1
• With Augsburg trailing 19-17 in set one, the Warhawks took six of the final seven points to claim a 25-18 set win. A three-point run by the Auggies late in the second set tied it up at 24-24, but Whitewater finished stronger once again with three of the following four points to take the set and go up 2-0 in the match.
• Trailing 13-11 in set three, the Auggies rattled off seven consecutive points to take a lead that would hold for the remainder of the set on the way to a 25-19 victory to make the match 2-1. With the fourth set knotted up at 19-19, a run of three straight points by the Warhawks gave them enough breathing room to take the set 25-22 and win the match 3-1.
• As a team, the Auggies hit .199 while the Warhawks hit .227.
Angel Vo (SR, Blaine, Minn./Mounds View HS) logged a 23-assist, 14-dig double-double for Augsburg while
Torrie Rehder (SR, Goodhue, Minn./Goodhue HS) anchored the defensive effort with 18 digs.
Bri Van Well (SR, Woodbury, Minn./Woodbury HS) led the team with 16 kills on a .234 hitting percentage.
AUGSBURG 3, LAKE FOREST 0
• Trailing 22-21 late in set one, the Auggies rallied with four of the next five points to claim a 25-23 victory. Augsburg dominated the second set, leading wire-to-wire and cruising to a 25-14 win to go up 2-0 in the match.
• With Augsburg leading 16-12 near the midway point of the third set, the Auggies won eight of the following nine points to take a commanding lead en route to a 25-17 win to complete the sweep.
• The Auggie attack hit .265 in the match while the Foresters hit just .105. Van Well neared a double-double with nine digs and 13 kills on a .545 hitting percentage.
• Rehder led the back line once again with 16 digs while Vo finished with 20 set assists and
Carmen Shimek (FY, Ramsey, Minn./Anoka HS) added 14 more.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE
• Augsburg's Van Well and Rehder were each named to the seven-member All-Tournament team named by the coaches. Through four matches on the weekend, Van Well logged 55 kills (3.93 per-set) on a .271 hitting percentage. The lone libero to be named to the All-Tournament squad, Rehder tallied 77 digs (5.50 per-set) and 16 set assists.
FOR THE FOES
• Alayna Jansky finished with a 19-kill, 15-dig double-double for the Warhawks.
