THE BASICS
FINAL SCORE: Augsburg 4, St. Norbert (Wis.) 1
LOCATION: Schneider Stadium, De Pere, Wis.
RECORDS: Augsburg 1-0-1 overall, St. Norbert 0-1-1 overall
HOW IT HAPPENED
• A transfer from NAIA school Bethel College (Tenn.) who last played in the 2018 season, Keita scored a pair of goals in the opening 21 minutes of play, then added an assist on an insurance goal for the Auggies in the closing minutes.
• Keita's first goal came at the 3:59 mark of play, as he collected a pass from
Remus Repcak (SO, Tualatin, Ore./Tualatin HS) in the top right corner of the 18-yard box and fired a low shot past a diving goalkeeper to the left corner of the net.
• His second goal came on a counter-attack following a St. Norbert free kick, as
Mizael Harris (JR, Portland, Ore./La Salle Catholic College Prep HS) threaded a pass to Keita on a sprint, and Keita flicked the ball into the net from 15 yards out.
•
Jakob Mohrlok (SR, Stuttgart, Germany/Schonbuch Gymnasium) scored his second career penalty-kick goal in the 41st minute.
• After the Green Knights cut into the lead with a goal eight minutes into the second half, the Auggies capped the scoring with a pretty goal in the 84th minute, as Keita drove deep in the right wing, and swung a perfect pass across the goal to Harris, who headed the ball home for his 15th career goal.
• Augsburg had a 10-0 shot advantage in the first half, en route to a 17-5 advantage in the game. The Auggies controlled possession by a 54-to-46 percent margin.
•
Frankie Pinto (FY, Chicago, Ill./Maine South HS) had two saves in goal for the Auggies.

QUOTES FROM AUGSBURG HEAD COACH GREG HOLKER
• "It was nice to get Muhammed and Mizael on the scoresheet as they work their new partnership out. Keita was lethal in his moments, and Mizael looked like he was going to score. You know he wants it when his opening goal is with his head. I'm excited to see when he can finally grab one in his 1v1 moments. He's been so good in training, so we know it's coming."
• "Remus was involved in both of our first two goals, and his defensive work was outstanding. Likewise,
Ceazar Daniell was fantastic on the other side. When we saw them come out in a 4-2-4, we knew we could win the battle on the wings, and so it was no surprise all of our goals seemed to start in that area.
Joseph Swallen was really good tonight connecting our lines and changing the point of attack for us. We definitely won the central midfield and had some bright moments as we combined to push the game forward. I thought all of our players were sharp in that area of the field."
"It was disappointing to concede a goal, but that was my fault. I tried to mix and match our midfield a bit when
Zachariah Sherian had to leave the game with a knock, and it didn't work. Credit to the guys for weathering the pressure during the first few minutes of the second half to reclaim control, and then go on to end it with a fourth goal."
