Jayla Ponce (SR, Kuna, Idaho/Kuna HS) and
Grace Dickerson (JR, Northfield, Minn./Northfield HS) scored goals for Augsburg University, as the Auggies claimed a 2-0 victory at the University of Wisconsin-Stout in a nonconference game on Wednesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Ponce scored her team-leading seventh goal of the season in the 13th minute, taking a pass across the top of the 18-yard box from
Annika Rudolph (SR, Richfield, Minn./Richfield HS), eluding a defender and firing a rising left-footed blast that deflected off the left goalpost and into the net.
Denise Hamdan (SO, Maplewood, Minn./North St. Paul HS) had the second assist on the goal.
• Dickerson scored her second goal of the season in the 72nd minute, heading home a corner kick by
Kate Aman-Lavicky (SO. Madison, Wis./Madison West HS).
• Augsburg outshot UW-Stout by a 19-3 margin in the game, including an 8-2 advantage in shots on-goal. Ponce had four shots, while Rudolph and Dickerson had three shots each.
• Making her third collegiate start in goal,
Claire Smothers (FY, Iowa City, Iowa/Iowa City HS) picked up her third shutout with a two-save effort.
