MINNEAPOLIS – Behind a 19-kill, 10-dig double-double by
Bri Van Well (SR, Woodbury, Minn./Woodbury HS), the Augsburg University volleyball team claimed a 3-1 Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference victory over the College of Saint Benedict on Friday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Van Well claimed her third double-double of the season, with a season-high 19 kills on a .347 attack percentage, with just two errors in 49 swings, adding 10 digs in the win. The match marked her 12th this season with double-digit kills, fifth match hitting .300 or better, and fourth match with double-digit assists. Van Well had seven kills in Augsburg's 26-24 win in the second set and six kills in the Auggies' 25-19 third-set win.
• After dropping the first set 26-24, the Auggies claimed the final three sets, with a 25-23 win in the fourth set. The match featured 26 ties and 16 lead changes.

Ava Carlson (FY, Cloquet, Minn./Cloquet HS) collected nine kills with nine digs in the match, including three in the decisive fourth set.
GK LeMonds (SR, St. Michael, Minn./St. Michael-Albertville HS) had six kills, hitting .333, with six block assists. She had three kills and three blocks in the second set.

Madison Gully (SR, Oak Grove, Minn./St. Francis HS) claimed eight kills and five digs, and
Elizabeth Oster (SO, Bemidji, Minn./Bemidji HS) had seven kills, four blocks (two solo), with four kills and two blocks (one solo) in the fourth set.

Angel Vo (SR, Blaine, Minn./Mounds View HS) recorded her seventh assist-dig double-double, with 22 assists and 11 digs, adding three service aces.
Jovial King (SO, Caledonia, Minn./Caledonia HS) had 13 assists and three digs.

Torrie Rehder (SR, Goodhue, Minn./Goodhue HS), returning to the lineup after missing seven matches due to injury, had 23 digs and nine assists.
FOR THE FOES
• Saint Benedict was paced by Kali Jones, who had 16 kills, six digs and two blocks. Mackenzie Knofczynski had 14 kills and three block assists.
• Audrey Spolidoro had 42 assists, 13 digs, three service aces and three blocks. Chaeli Haupert had 19 digs.
