RIVER FALLS, Wis. -- Surrendering a goal in each half, the Augsburg University women's soccer team suffered a 2-0 nonconference loss at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls on Wednesday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The host Falcons outshot the Auggies by a 10-7 margin in the first half and controlled possession by a 64-to-36 percent margin in the frame, taking the lead on a goal in the 40th minute.
• Augsburg played more aggressively in the second half and had some good scoring chances, including a free kick by
Jayla Ponce (SR, Kuna, Idaho/Kuna HS) that glanced off the crossbar in the 64th minute. The Auggies outshot the Falcons by an 8-4 margin in the second half, including five shots on-frame, but none could reach the back of the net.

Megan Hensel (SR, Woodbury, Minn./Woodbury HS) had four shots, including three on-goal, to lead the Auggies. Ponce,
Amalia Lee (FY, Shakopee, Minn./Shakopee HS),
Annika Rudolph (SR, Richfield, Minn./Richfield HS) and
Grace Dickerson (JR, Northfield, Minn./Northfield HS) had two shots each.

Tess Enlow (SO, Blaine, Minn./Blaine HS) had six saves in goal for the Auggies.
FOR THE FOES
• Elizabeth Felty scored in the 40th minute and Abby Drontle scored in the 69th minute for UW-River Falls.
• Falcon goalkeeper Grace Zellmer had eight saves to earn the shutout win.
