ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Hamline University jumped out to an early advantage that Augsburg University could not overcome, as the Auggies fell 64-45 in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference women's basketball contest on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Hamline jumped out to a 17-9 lead after one quarter and never trailed after that, leading by as many as 19 points late in the first half. Hamline outrebounded Augsburg by a 43-33 margin and forced 21 Auggie turnovers. The Pipers scored 23 points off of turnovers, while the Auggies scored just nine points off of 11 Hamline miscues.

Wakinyela Bear (JR, Morrison, Colo./Meskwaki (Iowa) HS) recorded her first collegiate point-rebound double-double, scoring 12 points with a career-high 10 rebounds.
