BLAINE, Minn. – Outshooting the opponents by a 45-14 margin and scoring all four goals on special teams, the No. 8-ranked Augsburg University women's hockey team claimed a 4-1 Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference victory at Bethel University on Saturday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• All four Augsburg goals came on special teams, as the Auggies went 3-of-5 on the power play and added a shorthanded goal. Augsburg is now 14-of-56 (.250) on power-play opportunities, fourth-best among MIAC teams. Augsburg has now outscored its opponents by a 58-16 margin, leading the MIAC in goals scored and in fewest goals allowed.

Ruby Eskin (FY, Minneapolis, Minn./Roseville HS) put the Auggies on the scoreboard with a power-play goal at the 17:49 mark of the first period, scoring on a rebound off a shot from
Emily Cronkhite (SR, Eagan, Minn./Eagan HS), which was touched to her by
Emily Schoeberl (JR, Eagan, Minn./Eagan HS).

Grace Bonnell (SO, Madison, Wis./Memorial HS) scored her fourth goal of the season at the 13:50 mark of the second period, a power-play blast from the top of the right faceoff circle, assisted by Cronkhite and Eskin.

Molly Grundhoffer (SO, Cleveland, Minn./Shattuck-St. Mary's HS) scored on a shorthanded break, eluding a defender and sliding a "five-hole" shot for her fifth goal of the season 1:48 into the third period, with Cronkhite gaining her third assist of the game.

Mei Diesing (FY, Arlington Heights, Ill./TPH Academy Chicago) scored her second goal of the season, a power-play wrister from the high slot, at the 10:15 mark of the third period, assisted by
Kiley Wahlin (SR, Blaine, Minn./Totino-Grace HS) and
Jenna Allen (FY, Minnetonka, Minn./Holy Family Catholic HS).
• Augsburg outshot Bethel by a 45-14 margin, including a 22-0 advantage in the first period and a 17-3 advantage in the second period. Goalie
Marissa Paaske (JR, Crystal Lake, Ill./Crystal Lake Central HS) had 13 saves, only allowing a Royal goal with 1:23 left in the game.

FOR THE FOES
• Anna Hanson had 41 saves in goal for Bethel.
• Brynn Swenson scored the Royals' lone goal, an unassisted breakaway at the 18:37 mark of the third period.
