MINNEAPOLIS -- The Augsburg University women's basketball team held a 31-30 lead over the College of Saint Benedict at halftime, but the Bennies outscored the Auggies by a 33-13 margin in the second half, en route to a 63-44 Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference victory on Wednesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Augsburg hit 39.4 percent (13-of-33) from the field in the first half, holding a 31-30 advantage, as neither team led by more than five points. But the Auggies struggled from the field in the second half, hitting just 17.2 percent (5-of-29), as the Bennies led by as many as 19 points. The Bennies outscored the Auggies by a 22-6 margin in the fourth quarter to pull away for the final margin of victory.

Lani Fonoti (FY, Cloquet, Minn./Cloquet HS) scored 15 points with four rebounds and two blocked shots to lead the Auggies.

Amira LaDuke (JR, Cass Lake, Minn./Cass Lake-Bena HS) scored nine points with points with 10 rebounds and two blocked shots.

Saylor Gallagher (SO, Mounds View, Minn./Irondale HS) scored seven points with four rebounds, and
Wakinyela Bear (JR, Morrison, Colo./Meskwaki (Iowa) HS) scored five points with six rebounds.
Katie Manecke (SR, Shoreview, Minn./Mounds View HS) had seven rebounds and three assists to go along with four points.
FOR THE FOES
• Megan Morgan scored 15 points with four rebounds, three assists and two steals to lead Saint Benedict.
• Olivia Boily scored 13 points with six rebounds, and Tatum Findley scored 10 points.
