Carsen Stokes (SO, Prior Lake, Minn./Shattuck-St. Mary's HS) stopped all 42 shots he faced for his second shutout of the season, as the Auggies completed a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference series sweep with a 3-0 victory on Saturday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Catalano scored his first goal of the game on a 5-on-3 power play at the 9:29 mark of the first period, depositing a loose puck in the slot into the net, with
Landon Parker (SO, East Grand Forks, Minn./East Grand Forks HS) and
Gunnar Williams (SO, Elgin, Ill./Burlington Central HS) credited with assists.
• Catalano made it 2-0 for the Auggies with a goal 3:28 into the second period, just as an Auggie power play ended, scoring on a rebound in the slot off a shot from the point by Williams, with Parker getting the second assist.
• Augsburg finished the game with an empty-net goal with 1:20 left to play, as
Conner Schneider (FY, Sun Prairie, Wis./Shattuck-St. Mary's HS) scored his fifth goal of the season, assisted by
Jake Hale (JR, Minneapolis, Minn./Apex Virtual School) and
Graham Harris (FY, Minnetonka, Minn./Minnetonka HS).
• The game was a physical one, with Hamline whistled for eight penalties for 16 minutes, and Augsburg whistled for seven penalties for 14 minutes. The Auggies also benefitted from 13 blocked shots in the game, with
Jack Cotter (FY, Canton, Mich./Salem HS) credited with four blocks.
• Stokes notched his second shutout of the season with a 42-save performance -- his fourth 40-plus-save effort of the season and third in his last four starts in goal. In the weekend sweep of the Pipers, Stokes had 90 saves on 91 Piper shots on-goal.
