DUBUQUE, Iowa -- The Augsburg University men's hockey team opened its 2025-26 season with a 4-1 loss to No. 6-ranked Aurora University in a nonconference game on Friday afternoon at the University of Dubuque's Key City Classic tournament.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Augsburg fell behind with a goal 3:58 into the game, but tied it at 1-1 with
Ryan Comishock's (FY, Enosburg Falls, Vt./Shattuck-St. Mary's HS) first collegiate goal, a power-play marker from
Conner Schneider (SO, Sun Prairie, Wis./Shattuck-St. Mary's HS) and
Landon Parker (JR, East Grand Forks, N.D./East Grand Forks HS) at the 9:29 mark of the first frame.
• Aurora took the lead with a power-play goal in the second period, then expanded the lead with a goal early in the third period and an empty-net marker with 1:47 remaining.
• Aurora, ranked No. 6 in both the USCHO.com and D-III Hockey News Division III national rankings, outshot the Auggies by a 32-23 margin.

Carsen Stokes (JR, Prior Lake, Minn./Shattuck-St. Mary's HS) collected 28 saves in goal for the Auggies.
