MOORHEAD, Minn. -- Behind goals from
Jayla Ponce (SR, Kuna, Idaho/Kuna HS) and
Abby Rosebur (SR, South St. Paul, Minn./South St. Paul HS), the Augsburg University women's soccer team secured a home quarterfinal game in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference playoffs with a 2-0 victory at Concordia College-Moorhead on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Ponce scored her 16th goal of the season in the 10th minute, assisted by
Phoebe Alva Rosa (SR, Jackson, Wyo./Jackson Hole HS), tying for the lead in the MIAC in goals scored. With five assists for 37 points, Ponce is also tied for the MIAC's points lead.
• Rosebur scored her first goal of the season, assisted from Ponce and
McKenna Nachreiner (JR, Waunakee, Wis./Waunakee HS), in the 55th minute
• The Auggies outshot the Cobbers by an 11-8 margin, and were able to play 19 players in the final regular-season contest.
• Ponce and
Allison Hookom (SR, Anoka, Minn./Anoka HS) had three shots each.

Claire Smothers (SO, Iowa City, Iowa/Iowa City HS) had four saves in 75 minutes in goal, with
Tess Enlow (SR, Blaine, Minn./Blaine HS).
FOR THE FOES
• Julia Roark had three saves in goal for Concordia.

• As the No. 4-seed in the six-team MIAC postseason playoffs, Augsburg will host Macalester College on Monday (11/3) at 7:30 p.m. in a quarterfinal game at Edor Nelson Field. The Auggies topped the Scots 1-0 on Oct. 4 in St. Paul, Minn.
