MINNEAPOLIS -- Second-half goals from 
Abby Rosebur (SR, South St. Paul, Minn./South St. Paul HS) and 
Allison Hookom (SR, Anoka, Minn./Anoka HS) lifted the Augsburg University women's soccer team to a 2-1 quarterfinal victory over Macalester College in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference playoffs on Monday evening at Edor Nelson Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• After a scoreless first half, the Auggies took the lead in the 69th minute, as Rosebur gained the ball near midfield, worked her way up the left wing, and fired a shot from the end line that deflected off the Macalester goalkeeper and into the net for her first goal of the season.
• Hookom gave the Auggies a 2-0 lead in the 83rd minute, scoring on her own rebound off a shot saved by a sliding goalkeeper. The Auggies then held off a frantic series of attacks by Macalester, including one that resulted in a goal with 3:43 left to play. 
• The Auggies outshot the Scots by a 19-14 margin in the game. 
Jayla Ponce (SR, Kuna, Idaho/Kuna HS) had nine shots, including five on-target, while Hookom had six shots.
• 
Claire Smothers (SO, Iowa City, Iowa/Iowa City HS) had seven saves in the game.
FOR THE FOES
• Erica Hamilton scored on a rebound in front off of two shots by Mikayla Edmunds in the 87th minute for Macalester.
• Abigail Heuga had nine saves in goal for the Scots.

• The No. 4-seed in the six-team MIAC playoffs, Augsburg will face top-seed St. Catherine University on Thursday (11/6) at 2 p.m. in St. Paul, Minn.
